MEET JOSEPH
I ran for office because the people of Paulding and Cobb Counties - and all Georgians - deserve representation that is fiscally responsible and holds true to our conservative values. My voting record proves that I continue to give you just that: lower taxes, government accountability, and a commitment to public safety.
I am a proven leader with a deep understanding of the issues that matter most to you. I'm often referred to as the busiest man in the legislature. It's because I work tirelessly to find practical, common-sense solutions that promote economic growth, advance access to quality healthcare, and improve educational opportunities.

Working for the People of HD 19
Serving as your State Representative is not a job I take lightly. I am truly humbled and honored that you have entrusted me with this responsibility. I earned the nickname Conservative Workhorse because I am committed to getting the job done, not getting credit.
I recognize the power of principled leadership in shaping a society that fosters opportunity, individual liberty, and limited government. When I decided to enter into public service, I wasn’t driven by personal ambition. Rather, I was, and continue to be, galvanized by a genuine concern for the future of our state. Like you, Georgia is where I work, live, and raise my family.
From the grassroots level to broader policy discussions, my experiences have taught me that Georgians are worried first and foremost about having good jobs, educational opportunities, and a safe place to call home. As your state representative, I have a proven record of championing these values.

Faith and Family First
First and foremost, I am a Christian, a husband, and a father. My family belongs to Rock Springs Church, led by Pastor Benny Tate. My faith informs my values and guides me in my life decisions.
My wife and I made the decision to grow our family by adopting through Georgia's foster care system. Because of this experience, I have firsthand knowledge of what it takes to keep our children safe and see that every child in Georgia has their forever family.
Like you, I depend upon the middle class economy to provide for my family's needs. I believe in the principles of lower taxes, limited government intervention, and economic freedom. These are the fundamental concepts that help ensure we can keep more of our hard-earned money, invest in our futures, and make choices that align with our values.

Service to Our Community
Few things in this life will bring you more joy and satisfaction than helping others. Giving back to our community is a top priority for me. I enjoy the opportunity to meet new people and be a part of something bigger than myself.
Ways to get involved in our community are plentiful. Be it a special talent to share or a busy schedule to accommodate, there are opportunities for community engagement to suit everyone.

ON THE ISSUES
I am and will continue to be open and transparent about where I stand on the issues that matter most to you. I invite you to explore my stance on these critical topics and be part of the conversation.
LOWER TAXES
It’s quite simple, really. Lowering taxes gives Georgians more control over their own earnings. Every dollar that stays in your pocket is a dollar that can be spent, saved, or invested in whatever way you believe is best for your family and financial future.
My belief in lower taxes goes beyond pure economics. It’s also about recognizing that the government should not be the middleman when you spend your hard-earned money. Excessive government spending crowds out private sector investment and hinders economic growth.
Lowering taxes doesn’t have to mean compromising on the essential services provided by the government. When we eliminate wasteful spending and increase transparency in budgeting, we can continue to provide programs that are targeted, efficient, and results-driven, while also reducing the tax burden on Georgians.
PUBLIC SAFETY
Law enforcement officers serve as the front line against crime, maintaining peace and security in our communities. I am committed to ensuring that they have the resources, training, and tools they need to perform their jobs effectively.
The safety and security of law-abiding citizens depends, in part, on smart and targeted legislation. I support policies that address victims’ rights, the root causes of crime, and the evolving nature of criminal offenses in our interconnected world.
Public safety is a shared responsibility. That’s why I support initiatives that help foster positive relationships between citizens and law enforcement officers. Effective crime prevention depends on a level of mutual trust and understanding.
HEALTH CARE
I will continue to champion legislation that lowers the burdensome cost of health care and ensures that access to quality care isn’t determined by your zip code. As legislators, our focus should be on easing access, streamlining bureaucracy, and promoting patient choice.
Telehealth and digital healthcare solutions have the potential to revolutionize accessibility. I support investments in expanding telemedicine infrastructure, making it possible for individuals in rural or underserved areas to access medical expertise and services without the need for long and costly travel.
I believe in equipping individuals to make their own health care choices. I will continue to fight for policies that foster competition and innovation, drive down costs, and expand options for all Georgians.
By embracing these principles, we can continue to foster a health care system that provides quality care, empowers individuals, and respects the dignity of every Georgian.
BUDGET
I've always been clear that the tax dollars you send to Atlanta belong to you, which makes the government a steward – not the owner – of your hard-earned money. My family doesn't spend money that we don’t have, and I believe the government should do the same.
The state legislature has a constitutional mandate to pass a balanced budget each year. A balanced budget can only be achieved when every program and expenditure is carefully examined, justified, and evaluated in the context of its necessity and impact. This meticulous approach to budgeting allows us to identify areas where government can be more efficient and responsive.
At the same time, there are critical investments that must be made in our state's future. Our budget should reflect our commitment to education, infrastructure, and public safety.
ECONOMY AND JOBS
Georgia continues to be named the number one state for doing business. Our state’s conservative leadership fosters an environment where businesses can thrive, innovate, and invest in our communities. I work hard to continue cultivating this fertile soil by enacting legislation that encourages entrepreneurship, reduces excessive regulations, and keeps taxes low
I support policies that empower individuals to pursue education and training that align with the demands of a rapidly evolving job market. Today’s economy seeks a workforce that remains adaptable, which we can aid by encouraging a lifelong pursuit of learning.
The role of small businesses in job creation can't be overstated. These enterprises are the lifeblood of our communities, contributing to local economies and providing opportunities for individuals to take ownership of their livelihoods. By easing the burden of taxes and regulations on small businesses, we can pave the way for them to grow and expand.
The government has a role to play in providing the necessary infrastructure and supportive conditions for businesses to flourish. This includes investing in vital sectors such as transportation, energy, and technology, which not only create jobs directly but also serve as the backbone of our economy.
EDUCATION
Education is a nonpartisan issue – and rightfully so. A strong educational system benefits not only our children, but also our families, our communities, and our state as a whole. A skilled labor force attracts investment, drives innovation, and creates jobs.
At the heart of our education system is the dedicated work of our teachers. Teachers shape the future of our society with their commitment to our students' growth and development. I believe in providing these educators with the tools, support, and autonomy they need to succeed in the classroom.
Every child is unique, with their own talents, interests, and needs. Parents should have the freedom to choose the educational path that best suits their child. Whether it's traditional public schools, public charter schools, private schools, homeschooling, or other innovative options, parents should have the ability to make the right choice for their children's future.
As a legislator, I have a proven commitment to funding colleges and universities while keeping tuition rates reasonable and ensuring a quality post-secondary education for Georgia's students. Beyond traditional institutions, I also strongly support investing in workforce development to prepare students for a dynamic job market by passing legislation that encourages access to technical and vocational education.
GET INVOLVED
Becoming an active participant in the political process is one of the best decisions I've ever made. When you campaign for a candidate you believe in, you are helping to achieve the changes you want to see in the world.
Volunteers are the lifeblood of a campaign. These are the men and women who selflessly share their time and talents without monetary compensation. Yet, if you could put a price on the satisfaction you get from helping shape the future, you'd be richer than Elon Musk.
Below are three simple ways to get involved, support my campaign, and stay up to date on the issues that matter most to you. Have a special talent or interest you'd like to share with my campaign? I would be humbled and honored to have you on my team. Send me an email at joseph@josephgullett.com.

YARD SIGN
Putting up a yard sign is an easy way to show your support. Yard signs promote name recognition, represent a personal endorsement, and attract new supporters. It's a small sign, but it sends a powerful message. If you'd like to put a sign in your yard, or have a location for a larger sign, please get in touch by clicking the button below.

VOLUNTEER
Behind every successful campaign is a dedicated team of volunteers. Whether they're making phone calls, delivering yard signs, or even marching in a Christmas parade, it takes volunteers to get the job done. If you're interested in volunteering with my campaign team, please click the button below, and we'll send you more information.
